Edmontosaurus Hadrosaur Maxillary Jaw Plate, Hell creek formation
This fossil was collected by our team on private leased land in South Dakota.
The fossil has absolutely no restoration or crack filling of any kind.
Edmontosaurus was a massive hadrosaur, commonly known as a “duck-billed” dinosaur, found in the Hell Creek Formation. It had around 300 teeth arranged in columns of five, functioning like a conveyor belt to ensure a continuous chewing surface for cutting and grinding food. This specimen is a partial lower jaw, displaying the grooves where the tooth columns were positioned.
